Setting Up Livesplit for Speedruns

I Just Want To Speedrun A Game Right Now (TSFN Version)

• Go to Livesplit's website and download the main program there.
• Pop that open and right-click on the initial window. Go to "Settings" and change your Start/Split and Reset hotkeys (and optionally Undo and Skip as well) to something comfortable. If you speedrun using keyboard, consier disabling Global Hotkeys so you don't accidentally interact with Livesplit while your game is up.
• Find a game you like on this website. Underneath that game's "General Resources" heading, you should find a Splits Drive link. Download the .lss file for the category you would like and open it in Livesplit.
• With the splits file open, right-click on your Livesplit and select "Edit Splits". Make sure that if the game has an autosplitter, that autosplitter is active.
• Go speedrun! If the game has an autosplitter, everything timing-wise should be handled. If the game does not, you'll need to manually split using your Start/Split key whenever you finish a split listed in the splits. Good luck!
