Venture to the Vile
Venture to the Vile is a 2024 Metroidvania by Studio Cut to Bits, notable for having a Victorian horror aesthetic and 2.5D gameplay where you're constantly shifting amidst the foreground and background of worlds as you platform. The speedrun has a few major skips and very cinematic boss fights that are very much wars of attrition with multiple mid-boss checkpoints.
